At e-fireworks we do not limit ourselves to just one brand of fireworks, we purchase fireworks from well know manufactures around the world names like Royal Party, Kim Boulton, Menshun etc.
Due to the potential dangers of fireworks we only sell fireworks which have passes the UK standards, were possible we deliver fireworks ourselves on our own vehicles. All staff are given training on the safe handling of fireworks, furthermore we are able to check the age of recipients on delivery to ensure that they are over the legal age to purchase fireworks which is 18. We highly recommend the DTI's firework safety web site for information on firework safety. mail order fireworks

Why is there no phone number on your web-site ?
In total honesty... the fireworks industry is extremely busy for just a few months of the year, Halloween, New year, Diwali and of course November the 5th, we couldn't keep large teams of telephone operators on hand all year round for just a few months when things get busier and of course when things do get busy we are often unable to answer the phones as efficiently as we would like.
As an internet based company we feel that our regular customers are all used to the internet purchasing experience and the slight delay in using e-mail is acceptable, especially if it keeps the price dawn and the service high.
We are always happy to ring you back, if you have a query please e-maii us to request a call back.
When should I order ?
Our best advice is to get your order in early. Leading up to November the 5th the firework industry literally goes 'ballistic', if you want to guarantee the best fireworks for your display, we recommend getting your order in early. You won't be the first ... we have orders for November the 5th displays in early September.
Who are Paypal ?
You may have noticed that we use a company called Paypal to process our payments. PayPal is one of the most respected e-commerce companies in the UK. Using paypal is absolutely safe and is free for you to use use with any credit or debit card.
If you prefer to use the telephone to complete your transaction or would like to pay by cheque please contact us via e-mail and we will contact you to arrange.
What areas do you deliver to ?
We deliver to Southern England
What are your delivery charges ?
Carriage charges for 2006 are as follows.
How long for delivery ?
Standard delivery is 3 day (for ord ers p laced before 12pm).
Premium delivery can be purchased as follows and can be added to your order at any point.
ent in mind or require delivery by a specific date then please feel free to e-mail us.
Unlike some other companies we do do not publish a 'last ordering day for deliveries for November the 5th' , however at some point it will be too late. At this point we will clearly place a notice on our web site stating that orders can no longer be placed.
If you have left ordering a little late you can always send us an e-mail we may be able to sort something out, particularly if you are close to Southampton..
Is there an age limit to purchase fireworks ?
It is illegal for anybody under the age of 18 to purchase fireworks, in fact it is against the law to even carry fireworks in public if you're under 18.
When we deliver your fireworks we may ask you for proof of age if you are (or look) under 18.
If you attempt to purchase fireworks from us and when we deliver we find you are under 18 we may not leave the goods. Your monies will be refunded (less a handling charge).
Please ensure that somebody 18 years of age or older is available to take receipt of the fireworks when they are delivered.
Why Buy from e-fireworks ?
There are only a handful of companies selling fireworks over the internet, some are simply not professional and some do not have the multi-million backing that we do.
We have a genuine passion for fireworks and believe that they should be safe, fun and very entertaining, you can be assured that whatever you purchase through our web-site that you will be getting the best products at fantastic prices.
We are proud that much of our growth is through recommendation and many of our customers come back to us year after year.
Remember we do not sell poor quality fireworks, we are properly insured, vetted by trading standards and above all we actually care
The following advice is taken from the DTI's own web site
Where to buy
Dont cut corners just to save a few quid. Always buy fireworks from a reputable shop to make sure that they conform to British Standards. This means that they should have BS 7114 written on the box. Sometimes shops open up for a short time before Bonfire Night but these may not be the best places to buy fireworks from. Staff in these shops might not be very knowledgeable about using fireworks safely and their fireworks might not meet British Standards. Whatever you do, dont buy fireworks from anywhere youre not sure about, such as the back of a van or from a temporary, unlicensed market stall.
And although not strictly a shop, e-fireworks is part of a larger company which has been selling retail fireworks for over 10 years.
What is Diwali ?
Diwali, Dipavali, Divali or Deepawali, which is also known as 'the festival of lights', is the Indian festival that brings a series of festivals with it. One after another we get a chance to celebrate five festivals together. The people of all age groups and classes with equal zeal and enthusiasm celebrate Diwali throughout India. They put on new apparels and participate in the various activities that are related to Diwali celebrations. Diwali falls on the day of 'Amavasyaa' usually in the month of October or November.
On this day people light tiny diyas to fill their homes with bright light and create lovely designs all around their home with colorful rangoli art. Diwali is not only a festival of celebrations such as lightings, crackers, social gatherings to exchange greetings and sharing sweets with your loved ones but it is also a festival that is filled with spiritualism and religious activities such as worship of Goddess Lakshmi, worship of Lord Ganesha, worship of Mother Kali, worship of Lord Chitragupta and worship of Govardhan Parvat.
Diwali 2006 In 2006 Diwali will be falling on Saturday 21, October
Who is was Fawkes ?
In 1605, there was a plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament and among the men who hatched this plot was a traitor called Guy Fawkes.
Guy Fawkes, was actually in the cellar of the houses of parliament with 36 barrels of gunpowder when the authorities stormed it in the early hours of November 5th 1605, he was caught, tortured and executed.
the Gunpowder Plot struck a chord with the people of England. In fact, even today, the reigning monarch only enters the Parliament once a year, on what is called "the State Opening of Parliament". Prior to the Opening, and according to custom, the Yeomen of the Guard search the cellars of the Palace of Westminster.
On the anniversary of the night that the Gunpowder Plot was foiled, November 5th, bonfires are set alight (in theory) to celebrate the safety of the King (and now presumably the Queen) and this night has become known as Bonfire Night.
The event is also commemorated every year with the burning of effigies of Guy Fawkes on said bonfires and of course loads of fireworks, Hoorah for Guy Fawkes !!!!!
What are the principle types of fireworks ?
Selection Packs
Selection boxes offer a simple one purchase solution for smaller garden parties, there will be a mixture of fountains, multi-shot small bore barrages, wheels etc. We recommend purchasing at least 1 specialist fireworks in addition to any Selection box ..... Save it until last and then perhaps next year you'll be brave enough to hand pick your own selection.. |
Rockets
Rockets, nothing beats the feeling you experience as a powerful rocket leaves the launch tube whoosh........... often followed by a second of eary silence............ then an explosion of ultimate beauty. When purchasing rockets remember you get what you pay for give our 'bonus rocket pack' a try, you will be impressed. |
Barrages
Single ignition Multi-effect firework. This is our favourite firework, offering a professional quality display, ideal for larger gardens. We suggest if you are getting a number of families together, rather than bringing a selection pack each tell them to each bring a self ignition barrage firework, you'll have a far better evening. |
Some information about barrages from Pete Gallagher (our principle buyer)
Barrages these are effectively many fireworks set up and fused together.
Once lit these products fire in sequential order to give a desired effect.
The bore size usually depicts content therefore bigger or multi effect breaks.
The 49ers (see Med Barrages) have fewer shots but large bores with lots of power fired in groups so you end up with great finales but with big breaks in between and a high wow factor.
Conversely something like 'Resurrection' with 800 shots has smaller bores and a fast fuse creating lots of assorted effect and things going on constantly bangs whistles & crackles which Build over three minutes to a crescendo of larger shots at the centre of the cake.
This fireworks are a great way to make yourself look good as a long as you set whichever one you choose while the previous firework is still going you will create a fantastic finale. Perhaps send up a few Orbs or Big Brother rockets to view at higher altitude. They'll think you are a real Pro!
Fountains
Fountains The ideal way to create oooohs and aghhhs at your firework party, using our new remote firework ignition system ! fountains can create beautiful curtains of light to finish off your display or create a wonderful effect to welcome a new bride to her reception.. |
Roman candles
Roman candles are one of the earliest firework designs, but still a firm favourite often overlooked for big bang multi-ignition devices this selection of roman candles should not be overlooked. |
Mines
A ground level fire-work with something different around every corner, mines offer big bangs for your firework 'buck'. If creating your own selection a great combination effect can be created with fountains and mines combined. |
Wheels (Catherine)
The reason for the name "Catherine wheel" is rather sad as they are named after Saint Catherine of Alexandria who was condemned to torture on a wheel. Catherine wheels are an all round favourite ! |
Complete firework 'display' solutions - Selections created from the best fireworks in our range, and this year we have |
A final note from our resident Doctor firework !
What ever you budget or size of garden we can Bespoke a firework display to your personal needs ! We can do low noise (or high noise) or a mix of both.
Please do not hesitate to contact us by clicking here we will call you back to discuss your requirements. (Please note. We get very busy from the end of October leading up to November the 5th but we will do our best to return every call)
.... and remember 'Your display is our display'.
What are the firework categories ?
There are different categories of fireworks that members of the public can buy and set off.
These are categorised 1 to 4.
As follows
Category 1 for indoor use.
Category 2 for garden use. - 5 metres safety distance
Category 3 for a display. - 25 metres safety distance
Category 4 not for public sale.
- WE DO NOT SELL CATEGORY 4 FIREWORKS -
It is illegal to buy or set-off category 4 fireworks unless you are a firework professional.
